it's late.

ok. so here's the thing.

- its almost four AM
- cant go back to sleep..i tried
- therefore i am still awake at this hour.
- thought to myself, i should check my blog since ive been neglecting it for awhile now..
- what should i write about?
- hmmmm....i had something to write about.. what was it??
- *light bulb* OH YES! there it is!

1. im taking this philosophy class and its about science, value, and technology. and the first question the prof. asked us was, "what is technology?" hmm.. typically, technology = chips, circuits, electrical stuff, computers, tv, ipod, cars, etc.. the list goes on! BUT HERE'S HIS NEXT QUESTION... can a ROCK be a type of technology?? *scratches head* well.. i dont know... yes? no? what do u think?

2. technology. what would life be like without it? i dont know. scary thought. we've grown so dependent on it that just the thought of not having things so easy is unthinkable... its sad. the other day, or awhile ago.. or a few weeks ago.. (my apology, its late.. i cant remember).. anyways! i was at burger king (i was starving so i gave in for some curly fries..they were GOOD!!! OIL!! YUM YUM!!) --- SO i walked in and stood at the counter. waiting for a few mins. the employees in the kitchen just looked at me. they didnt come up to the register. just stood there doing their own thing in the kitchen. i smiled. they didnt.. haha!! i was ready to order. stood there a little longer. a few seconds maybe. the manager walked by -- he's still in the kitchen btw -- looked straight at me. smiled. and walked right PASS the register and out the door! OK!! now i was totally confused at the moment...i wanted to order! i wanted my CURLY FRIES!! and then.... there he was, standing right next me and said, "i'll take your order here." and oh BOY was i confused when he started touching the screen on this machine next to me. IT WAS AN AUTOMATIC/DIGITAL/WEIRD touchscreen monitor machine that took your order. the manager asked, "what would u like to order?" and i said - still confused and amazed, "...curly fries?" "what size?" "medium." then he said, "ok. pay here." and he pointed to the slot where u would insert your card or cash. (machines dont take coins apparently. they dont like them..) so i paid in dollar bills. and recipe came out and he handed it to me... i asked him if this was new and he said it just came in and that they were testing it out. WEIRD!! he walked back into the kitchen and disappeared.

OK! so i sat there waiting for my fries and another customer walked in and stood at the same spot i was just standing at. he looked at the menu and waited for someone to get to the cashier. and all of a sudden, the manager came out and stood right next to him and said, "i can help you right here sir." he pushed the screen and asked him "what would u like?" and yada yada.. anyways, that guy was amazed by the machine too! hahaha!!

SO WHAT WAS THE POINT OF MY STORY???


im not sure... hahaha!! something bout how technology is taking over our lives!! its scary.. machines taking over.. oh my... wouldnt you rather talk to someone? you know, interaction with an actual person? it was weird... i dont know. i wanna write more, but im too lazy. hehe you get the "gist" tho yea? HEHE

ok i just wanted to write in here. so there it is. i wrote in my blog :)
